Operation Flinders Next Step Code of Conduct
All Next Step participants will:
·Be respectful towards other young people, Op Flinders employees and volunteers
·Be respectful of other peoples belongings and don’t borrow things without asking
·Not bully other young people or make them feel unwelcome on activities
·Not bring anything illegal to activities, including alcohol and/or illicit drugs
·Not smoke any types of cigarettes or vapes on activities
·Not engage in sexual activity while on activities
·Tell Op Flinders as soon as possible if something will prevent them from attending the activity
In return, Operation Flinders staff and volunteers will:
·Always act in accordance with the Foundation’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures
·Treat Next Steppers with respect and courtesy
·Listen and respond to the views and concerns of Next Steppers particularly if they communicate (verbally or non-verbally) that they do not feel safe or well
· Promote the human rights, safety, and wellbeing of all Next Steppers in the Foundation
·Demonstrate appropriate personal and professional boundaries
·Involve Next Steppers in making decisions about activities, policies and processes that concern them wherever possible
·Respond to and act on any complaints or concerns either in person or via the anonymous feedback survey
